Document Library Simplified Submission Form

Shorter and faster than the main form, this form provides a way to submit only essential information regarding documents for the Internet2 Document Library. Fields with a white background are mandatory, while fields shaded with a blue background are optional. Information with a grey background gives guidance on how to populate these fields.

Drafts are submitted for broader public review before becoming final publications. Final publication submissions are intended to become final and approved Document Library documents. Archived documents are considered vetted and are submitted to join the body of Internet2's production but are not endorsed.

This is the title of the document, such as LDAP Recipe 2.1 or Shibboleth Novice FAQ.

The version of this document is:

The version of the document, such as 200305. It is preferred that the version be the YYYYMM (four-digit year and two-digit month) that the document was finalized, such as 200210.

The submission was created:

This is the date that the document itself was finalized within the working group or by the author. The date format recognized by the Document Library is YYYY-MM-DD, such as 2002-05-31.

The name and affiliation of the author/editor(s):	Respective e-mail addresses:

The Document Library only accepts a maximum of two authors/editors per document, each of the form Keith Hazelton, University of Wisconsin-Madison. The institution should be the one with which the author was affiliated at the time of the document's creation.

The names of contributors:	Respective e-mail addresses:

Contributors may include individuals, workgroups, or organizations that assisted in the document's creation or revision. Include e-mail addresses where applicable.

A space-delimited list of keywords associated with the document:

These will be used for searches by keyword and browsing. There is no fixed vocabulary yet for keywords, although it is expected one will evolve as more documents are submitted. Substrings will match. For example, VideoConferencing H.323 Internet2 Commons will also match video or conferencing.

The area and working group(s) that collaborated on the document:

These pull-downs determine the area, working group, and a possible second working group that the document will be listed under. This will affect browsing and searches by subject.

A short description of the submission:

This is the brief text listed about a subject when query results are returned. For example: OWAMP provides a protocol to allow for one-directional pings between hosts to measure latency and connectivity.

Select a class of document that most accurately describes the type of submission this is.

There must be at least one pair of format/url, such as PDF and http://www.internet2.edu/evilplot.pdf. Additional pairs may be added for different formats of the same document, such as TXT and http://www.internet2.edu/evilplot.txt.

The long(1-5 paragraphs) abstract of the document should be entered here. HTML formatting may be used and is entered as normal; character returns will not appear as new lines or paragraphs.
